The Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre also known as Entebbe Zoo, is a renowned center located on the shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe, Uganda. Established in 1950 as a reception center for orphaned, injured or rescued animals, UWEC has evolved into a leading conservation center with a mission to promote understanding and conservation of Uganda’s biodiversity.
