This 3 Days Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park will take you to one of the top wildlife safaris destinations in Uganda. It is mostly popular for its beautiful landscape that is made up of lush savanna plains, sprawling grassy hills, a series of sparkling crater lakes and lovely backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountain range in the far distance. In addition, it is famous for its tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Furthermore, its famous of its crater lakes, forested gorges that are home to chimpanzees, savannah plains and the beautiful Kazinga channel. Here, you will enjoy activities like the game drives and the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is a stream of water joining Lakes Edward and George. The channel is also a home to Hippos, Crocodiles & Monitor Lizards, etc that come to drink water, cool off from the hot sun and take shelter from predators. Besides, the park hosts the highest concentration of birds of all Uganda parks making it one of the best birding spots in the country.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Equator experience

You will picked be by one of our representatives from Kanyike Tours & Travels who will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at the Equator for the Equator moments and different equatorial experiments. The next stopover will be in Mbarara town for lunch and later proceed with your journey to the park.

Day 2: Morning game drive-Evening boat cruise

On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast and later proceed with your game drive in Kasenyi plains. This moment generally allows you to spot the early risers and nocturnal animals. While here, watch out for different animals like the lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos etc. Later, head back for lunch before proceeding with a boat cruise at Kazinga channel. Here, the boat will provide a perfect platform for viewing most of the aquatic wildlife like the hippos and crocodiles. Afterwards, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive-Transfer back to Kampala

Having your early morning breakfast, you will go to the Ishasha sector in search for the tree climbing lions. These animals love resting on top of the fig trees which also presents unique sights and picturesque moments. Afterwards, head back to the lodge for check out and later start off your journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch in Mbarara town and later embark on your journey.
